GOOD INPUT
Editorial Policy
GOOD INPUT is built around a simple standard: publish things that are useful enough to save, clear enough to use and interesting enough to remember.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are based on relevance, usefulness, evidence and reader value. Ownership relationships, affiliate opportunities, advertisers or commercial partners do not determine our conclusions.
Sources and evidence
We prefer primary sources, official documentation, original data, direct interviews and firsthand testing whenever practical. When we rely on third-party research, we aim to identify the source clearly and distinguish fact from analysis or opinion.
Firsthand experience
Reviews and tests should reflect actual use or direct evaluation. If we have not personally tested something, we should not imply that we have.
Commercial relationships
GOOD INPUT may link to businesses under common ownership or control, as well as advertisers, sponsors or affiliate partners. Those relationships should be disclosed when they could reasonably affect how a reader interprets the recommendation.
Updates
Evergreen guides are reviewed when information materially changes. Where useful, pages display a last-reviewed or updated date. We do not change the substance of an article simply to make it appear fresh.
Corrections
When we find a material factual error, we correct it. Significant corrections may be noted on the page. See our Corrections Policy.
